(Link in bio). I am obsessed with this stamp! At my most recent event, a reader brought me her book to sign and it had already been inked with her own personalised stamp so that if the book was to ‘go wandering’ while out on loan it would be clearly identified. I now want one for myself and everyone I know! Christmas gifts? Yes, please! Lola pony received an all-you-can-eat buffet today (otherwise known as a round bale of Rhodes grass) and she could not be happier. Look at that joy 😍 Normally when authors say they’ve seen their book ‘in the wild’, they mean ‘on shop shelves’. But Phoenix has recently been on two camping/hiking/abseiling adventures in tents! I’m sure Phoenix herself would love the outdoor experiences, though I know she’d also want a full-sized comfy mattress, a lot of thermal underwear and several doonas! Thank you, Liz and Viola, for your wonderful real life adventures with Phoenix! 🌻 Recently, while on a deep dive into my Irish family ancestry, it became really clear that there were certain patterns that flowed through multiple generations. I mean, I'd noticed it before, but seeing it on screen/paper made it starkly real. The modern term 'intergenerational trauma' sprang to mind. And so it was with synchronistic timing that @belinda_alexandra_author book, Emboldened, arrived in my post box, followed by one of her newsletter emails discussing not only intergenerational trauma but "intergenerational strength" as well. (What a great term!) I love this, so much. There is a lot of wisdom in this book and I am happy to recommend it. Thank you, Belinda, for writing it and @affirmpress for gifting me a copy. **Good Irish families have strong branches everywhere 😆👏 ** Authors are usually serious introvert types so events can be deeply intimidating affairs (I mean, just navigating road maps and car parks leaves me in a sweat!), especially if you don’t have any friends or family there as guaranteed cheer squads, so I am always SO grateful for the ones who show up. . . You will never know how much your faces and smiles anchor me to the present. 💗💗💗 Horse skills for life skills 💪💖 Yesterday, the highly talented @betterbeingme_bbme (Joanne Hatchard) articulated exactly why Autistic representation matters (in 90 seconds, whereas I took 100k words 😆).
