Things are changing: important Information

imagesHello lovely followers of this blog,

This is an important message for you. Because I value my readers so very much, I want to offer you more quality from me, rather than random rambling! So I have created a VIP lounge for us; it’s your backstage pass. I’d like to invite you to join at the VIP page, and sign up for a quarterly newsletter. I have loads of incentives for you to do this, including a competition every single quarter JUST for my VIPs.

And by signing up, I’ll send you FREE my notes on how to hold a tea tasting and how to hold a chocolate tasting.

These blog posts will soon disappear from this website. But you will still find info here on my books and events etc. I can offer a new level of loveliness through better technology than I can do here on WordPress. I’ll still be Facebooking and Tweeting, but not as much. I want the newsletter to be my ‘signature dish’.

I want to woo you with gorgeousness… a luscious look and feel in the newsletter (just four times a year so I don’t overwhelm you), with content about food, frocks, creativity, behind-the-scenes info, my life as a writer, and so on.

So please do come join me there, because I do so enjoy your company on this journey.

Jo x

Trav is doing okay post op. I wouldn’t say I’m totally happy with his progress but I am “alert, not alarmed”. Thanks for all your well wishes! 💗 When searching for captivating storytellers, look no further than Uncle Jack Charles. I’ve been saving this one. 🖤💛❤️ Today in The Hot Seat, debut Brisbane author @lukerutledge.writer chats to us about his #ownvoices book, A Man and His Pride, which is out Jan 31. Luke talks about his characters and story, what he needs in order to sit down write, the influence Harry Potter had on him and more. Watch now via the link in bio. Our 2023 first day ‘back at school’ photo. 🥰💖 This is my much-loved (and ridiculously pretty), Trav, who headed off for day surgery to remove three melanomas from his bottom. Ouch! 😣 Melanomas are a big problem for grey horses, who are born black or chestnut but quickly and continuously lose pigmentation throughout their lives, leaving them vulnerable to melanomas, which then often grow and cluster around their genitals and anus! Why?? No idea, but they can get so big that the horse can no longer toilet. The tricky thing is that they grow quite slowly, but it’s a race against time to see if the horse will outlive the melanoma or the melanoma will lead to euthanasia. I’ve been watching Trav’s melanomas for over a decade and as he turns 30 this year it has always been a question of if, or when, or never? But Trav is showing absolutely no sign of slowing down or shrugging off this mortal coil so I made the call to get them taken out now while they were still a manageable size. He had an epidural and has pain relief and more to follow and right now he looks none the worse for the experience. (But we’ll see how he wakes up tomorrow!) Such a grand old man. 💕 DO YOU WANT TO WRITE A NOVEL? **Calling all writers!** Just playing silly giggles with the one and only @leonie_dawson yesterday (who I’m lucky enough to have residing here on the Sunny Coast) at a pop up in-person year planning event. We #actuallyautistic folk don’t generally like photos much so it’s much easier to go with the whacky. 😆🌻😍🤪 Thanks to @rachel_l_gill (and Jacob) for the snaps #leoniedawson #shiningyear #sunshinecoast #homeschoolfamily #neurodivergent #womensupportingwomen @emmagreyauthor joins me in The Hot Seat as she tells us about her new release, The Last Love Note. She shares about her process of writing (the speed of which I am quite envious!), Anne of Green Gables, processing grief and more! The Last Love Note is out on 24th January.
