Bio: Lisa Ireland is an Australian bestselling author of contemporary women’s fiction and rural romance. Her fifth novel, The Art of Friendship, was published by Pan Macmillan in April 2018. Lisa lives on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula with her husband and three boys.
Why are you excited to do this? I love working with aspiring writers! I’ve recently co-hosted two writers’ retreats and it’s been so rewarding watching the writers we worked with starting to achieve their writing goals. Retreat attendees have gone on to final in competitions, receive manuscript requests, and achieve publication in anthologies, which has been really exciting for all concerned!
Genres: All contemporary fiction. Happy to read romance, but I prefer not to read erotic romance or paranormal romance. I have no expertise in historical romance.
Submission length: First three chapters
Communication: email, phone or in person
Reply time: two months
Auction reserve: $149
